Logging In to the Modem Router

You can log in to the modem router to view or change its settings.

Note: Your computer must be configured for DHCP. For help with configuring DHCP, see the documentation that came with your computer or see the link to the online document in Preparing a Computer for Network Access:.

To log in to the modem router:

Type http://192.168.0.1 in the address field of an Internet browser.

This login window opens:

Note: After you log in to the modem router, you will have the option of changing the modem router's LAN IP address. If you do so, you will need to use the revised IP address to log in to the modem router in the future.

Type admin for the user name, password for the password, and then click OK. The Connect to Internet screen displays:

This screen shows whether or not the modem router is connected to the Internet, and the basic Internet connection settings.
