Enabling Source MAC Filtering

Source MAC Filter allows you to block traffic coming from certain known machines or devices.

To enable MAC filtering and add MAC addresses to be blocked:

  1. Select Security > Source MAC Filter from the submenu. The Source MAC Filter screen is displayed.
  2. Figure 4-11

  3. Check Yes to enable Source MAC Filtering.
  4. Enter your list of source MAC addresses to be blocked in the MAC Address field in the form 01:23:45:67:89:AB, using colon-separated hexadecimal characters (0-9, A-F).
  5. Click Add. The MAC address will be added to the Blocked MAC Addresses table.
  6. Click Apply to save your settings.

To remove an entry from the table, select the MAC address entry and click Delete.
